My house is a war zone. My 10 year old and 6 year old live, eat and breathe soccer. It’s on every television, it’s in every room of the house, there’s a U-8 goal and field corner painted in the backyard, soccer balls in every car and buckets of training gear in the garage.

There’s also a 4’ mesh goal in the house and a handful of 8” Nerf soccer balls.

In the house.

Let that sink in.

Every weekend I have to do a damage assessment and figure out how many picture frames I’m replacing and light bulbs that need swapped.

I’m not complaining. I put the goal there. I am just publicly wondering about my own sanity and decision making skills.

Carry on.
